If you’re new to Ottawa or have yet to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in this great city, any Ottawa resident will tell you that the ByWard Market is the place to be! It’s one of the main hubs of activity that both residents and tourists alike flock to and there are a variety of great Irish pubs for you to embrace all that’s Irish!

Come join in on the fun and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day 2017 in The ByWard Market. Here’s what happening!

Kick Off St. Patrick’s Day WEEK

The Heart & Crown is the central core of celebration and is the go-to place when it comes to celebrating all that is Irish. You can start early by kicking off the week at the St. Patrick’s Luncheon that happens every year to help raise pints and funds for a good cause.

The luncheon is happening on March 10th beginning at 1 PM at the Heart & Crown in The ByWard Market to kick off the week of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. You can delve into some delectable culinary creations by chef Matt Gregoire along with complimentary wine, beer, and cocktails. There will also be auctions, raffles and great prizes that you can win.

While you’re diving into some delicious food, you can enjoy the sounds of Ireland with live Irish music by McIsaac & MacKenzie, along with Syd Baxter.

The best part is that all of the funds raised will be donated to both the Bruyere Foundation in Ottawa, and the Tara Centre in Omagh, Ireland.

For more information and to purchase tickets, visit the Heart & Crown website.
