5 Ottawa Neighbourhoods We All Love
Ottawa is, without a doubt, the best city to live in. There are so many different options available to renters who want to experience living in Ottawa. From downtown to chic living in the Glebe and all the way to suburb living in Orleans, Ottawa has it all. Here are five of our favourite Ottawa neighbourhoods.
With the addition of the revitalized Lansdowne Park and TD Place, The Glebe is one of Ottawa’s most desired areas to live. Shops and restaurants are available for exploration and of course the Rideau Canal is an amazing attraction to be enjoyed all year round. Big beautiful houses remodeled into apartments maintain the Glebe’s energy of chic and class.
The Golden Triangle
For those who prefer to live more central to the action of downtown, The Golden Triangle is where you want to be! Close to landmarks such as Parliament Hill and the Rideau Canal, The Golden Triangle is the preferred spot for many apartment dwellers. It is also very close to the University of Ottawa and is appealing for students who want to live close to their school or young professionals who work in the downtown core.
“There’s always something happening in the ByWard Market” is not just a slogan, it’s a guarantee. One of Ottawa’s oldest neighbourhoods, the ByWard Market is the place to be if you love a mix of classic architecture, modern condos, and bustling city life. Some of the city’s best restaurants, boutiques, galleries, bakeries, and salons are located in this neighbourhood between Sussex and Dalhousie, Rideau and St. Patrick. There’s never a dull moment when you live in the Market.
Centretown is one of Ottawa’s most historic neighbourhoods. Bordered by Chinatown (Bronson) to the west, the Queensway to the north, the Golden Triangle (Elgin) to the east, and the downtown core (Gloucester) to the south, Centretown is an eclectic, vibrant area. It’s the perfect place to call home if you work downtown or go to school at the University of Ottawa. Centretown is primarily residential, but the bustling commercial strips on Bronson, Bank, and Elgin are the perfect places to dine, shop, and unwind.
Close to Little Italy and Westboro, Hintonburg is an excellent place for an apartment. Easily walk to some of the city’s hottest restaurants and bars or take a stroll to the Parkway and watch the sunset over the Ottawa River. It’s easy to see why people fall in love with the charm of Hintonburg. Being a newer hot spot in Ottawa there has been a surge of restaurants opening in Hintonburg, so the excitement is sure to rise!
Ottawa has so many fantastic neighbourhoods, it’s a shame you can only live in one at a time. Contact Sleepwell Property Management today to see available apartments in your desired Ottawa neighbourhood!
